I am Dimitrio Pappa, a multi-instrumentalist musician, arranger, composer & Swing Dancer from Greece. Throughout my 10 years of exploring different styles and instruments, i constantly keep changing. I started as a classical pianist at the age of 14, and it was not until i was a teenager that i got into bands, playing guitar, singing and songwriting. With the style shifting and shaping for 5 years, that music college and conservatory in Greece made me discover the love for jazz and swing music. With the weight shifting to the “Piano-man” style of singer-songwriter, I switched gears.  The most fascinating thing for me was the fact that classical piano & acapella music could co-exist with jazz, Giging, recording and working as a band leader.

Composing and writing lyrics has always been my passion and it was only getting stronger, with time. I have also done a few steps as an actor, for short-length movies & musical theater projects, both as a musician, actor & dancer.

At this moment i study as a scholar at Berklee College of Music, in Boston, MA USA. This is the place where i found myself exploring possibilities in jazz arranging, Big Band & Acapella writing, & new paths as a Jazz singer,  improviser & performer. I had the pleasure to study with renowned composers, artists and educators, such as Greg Hopkins, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Ayn Inserto, George Russell, Peter Eldridge and Donna Mcelroy, just to mention a few. This is where i found true love for the trumpet.
